Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark chestnut pour with a tinge of red, big beige bubbly head, big fruity aroma mostly of the stoned variety, fruity taste plums, cherries, a hint of caramel some background yeast notes, quite bitter seems quite high on the IBU’S, overall an excellent Belgian interpretation.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy dark amber with a big frothy off white head. The aroma is big yeast weak citrus fruit and a touch medicinal. The flavour is strong bitter with a boozy yeast palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A brown ale? More like a Belgian ale to be honest. I think the yeast was from there.

Lively bugger very spicy almost wit like.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy amber pour with massive lively white head, yeast and grass aroma, taste has a hint of citrus, some spicy action and clove, distinctive saison yeast.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pour with a tinge of autumn leaf red, bubbly off white head, chocolate and malt aroma, taste has chocolate with some roasted malts and an undercurrent of piney hop.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy amber pour with voluminous white fluffy head, orange and pine aroma, taste has mandarin some grapefruit and pine, some caramel, moderate bitter finish, very good.

Nose is strawberry, cherry, jolly ranchers. Taste is malt and yeast leading to grain with a hoppy resin note finishing with summer fruits and sugar. Mouthfeel is slick and it wears its high alcohol very well. A very nice example.

Nose is pleasingly sour, green apples, farmyard, I was surprised I could not get Apricot. Taste is initially very sour, but then undercut by softer, tacky fruit tones, leading to a bitter then dry finish. Taste includes a touch of horse blanket and straw. The mouthfeel was a little thin for my taste, and the finish a bit short. A nice sour saison that shows a lot of promise, it is undermined by the thinness, the shortness of the finish. It still feels slightly lightweight.
