Description
Mad Hatter Brewing Company was set up by Gaz and Sue in 2013, with just one grand in their back pockets, and a glorified home brew set up. The brewery has always punched above its weight, and was championed from the start by the brilliant Port St Beer House. They produce weird and wonderful beers alongside some classic pale ales, stouts and IPAs.

7/9/2020. Bottle, no doubt my last, from one of the groundbreaking breweries of the early/mid 2010's. Pours attractive very dark brown with a small foamy beige head. Aroma of coffee, milk chocolate, sweet roasted malt, dried fruits, lactose, hint of nut. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a slight fruity tart edge. Medium body, silky smooth texture, soft carbonation. Camp coffee finish. As good as expected.

Sampled from the tap. Pours a cloudy yellow with a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has earthy grains with light tart fruits and hay backing. Flavor has some slightly tart tropical fruit and rhubarb with earthy grains and hay underlying.

Bottle. Big red wine and funk aroma. Some grain and herbal elements in the background. Taste is good. Cherry fruitiness, light sourness, wine at the back. Good stuff. Light spritziness. Cherry drop sweets. Cream cheese. This is really nice.
