(Draught at Muted Horn, Berlin, 26 Aug 2017) Dark red colour with creamy, beige head. Malty nose with caramel, red fruit and toast. Malty taste with notes of caramel, toffee, some chocolate, toast, red fruit and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite enjoyable.

SWING-TOP 33 CL from brewpub. Hazy amber, beige head. Appears to have caramel malts with fruity notes, bread and thick yet easy-drinking body. Unfortunately it is also a bit sour, even though it theft the brewpub just a month ago. Must have been good.

Vom Faß im Nürnberger Altstadthof. - Mittleres Goldbraun, leicht trüb, schöne Schaumringe im Glas. - In der Nase breit hellmalzig-karamellig mit zarten Gewürzen (Anis?) und mild krautigem Hopfen. - Antrunk bocktypisch breit hellmalzig-süß mit leichter Gewürznote und komplexer hopfenwürziger Herbe: Sahnebonbons, Kräuter. Mild rezent, sehr vollmundig, sämig. Zum Ende hin beträchtliche krautig-aromatische Hopfenherbe. Gut bitterer Abgang. - Gediegen malzaromatischer heller Bock mit großzügiger, aromatischer Hopfung. Ausgezeichnet!

Vom Faß im Altstadthof, Nürnberg. - Schönes Goldbraun, leicht trüb. - In der Nase mildes, vornehmes Karamelmalz mit zarten aber intensiven „exotisch“-fruchtigen Hopfennoten: Anklänge an rote Johannisbeere, Ananas. - Antrunk recht süß karamelmalzig mit dezenter zitrusfruchtiger Hopfenherbe, die sich aber gut gegen fette Speisen behauptet. Anklänge an Waldbeeren und Holz. Mild rezent, weich. Gut hopfenwürzig herber Abgang mit schwach likörartigen Aromen. - Gediegenes Rotbier mit interessanten neuen Hopfenaromen, die aber etwas zu dezent anklingen. Keine Konkurrenz für ein fetziges fränkisches Kellerbier oder ein peppiges Craft-Bier.

Deep amber-copper colored, strong beige over foaming head. Aroma is malty, caramel and toasted malt, bread and a touch of mold. Taste is malt caramel and Munich malt, toasted bread, bit moldy, bready finish and aftertaste, low herbal bitterness. Light+ bodied, soft carbonation, watery.

Bottle 750ml. w. swing top @ [ Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2015 (TEODRBSG15) ] - fonefan & Brugmansia House, Denmark. [ As Altstadthof Winter Wärmer ].Unclear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, candy, cinnamon, cake - cookie - brunkager. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, cinnamon, brunkage, spicy spices. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150829]
