On tap at Altstadthof, pours a clear dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is full of plums, toasted nuts, and bready caramel. Flavour is malty, with plenty of plum, bready caramel, toffee, and toasted nuts. Nice malty depth, with red fruits on the finish. Good stuff.

On tap at Altstadthof, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a medium tan head. Aroma has dark toasted malt, light earthiness, and a hint of coffee grounds. Flavour is full-bodied for the style, with some roast, toasted malt, earthiness, and a touch of coffee grounds. Smooth, creamy palate. Solid.

On tap at Altstadthof, pours a hazy dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma has plenty of bready malt and toasted caramel. Flavour is malty and moderately sweet, with bready caramel, toffee, and toasted malt. A bit too much residual sweetness but reasonably brewed nonetheless. Alright.

On tap at Altstadthof, pours a mostly clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma is crisp and clean, with fresh straw, grassiness, and biscuity malt. Flavour is likewise fresh and clean, with lots of gritty straw, grassiness, and husky biscuity malt. Nicely brewed, appropriately to style. Solid.

Draft. A decent helles, not unlike any other. Hazy w/some fruit hops all balanced well.
