Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. Hazed plum brown. Big old lasting lacing off white foam. Nose has yer Xmas cake mix in spades. Buttered banana bread. The fruit is in abundance. Taste is semi sweet. Nice vinous character. Good body throughout. Foamy carbonation. Nice nip of bitterness to finish. Great stuff.

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. Hazed lemon gold. Huge egg white swede. Looks like a meringue. Doesn’t smell unlike meringue either. Lemon rind. Sweet bready brioche like malts. Lovely ripe banana-esque yeasty notes. Taste has some bready sweetness and a touch of citrus bitterness. Foamy and soft throughout. Nice nip of bitterness to finish. Lovely.

Backlog September 2011. Amber body with a few floaters under a disappearing off-white head. Some caramel malt and dry fruit in aroma. Taste is sweet and malty with caramel, dry fruit, slightly spicy, Belgium yeast and hint of cellar notes. Fine body and pleasant aftertaste. Nice one, but not as god as the bigger brothers.

First tried at the brewery after the tour, then later at home a couple of years later. Simply outstanding. The difference in time between tasting has evolved this triple in to a bitter master peace. Different bottle of beer in my home No. 1405
