As Rebelle Blonde. On tap at Le Restaurant du Faubourg, Beauvais Airport. Shared with petit Dina. Clear golden, small lasting off-white head. Aroma is malty, lightly fruity, apricot and orange. Hint of orange zest and black pepper. Smooth, medium to full body. Sweet malty, lightly fruity, red apple, apricot, bitter orange, spices, clove, black pepper. Good balance, dry finish. Some warmth and very little astringency.

As Milliacus Ambrée. On tap at Le Restaurant du Faubourg, Beauvais Airport. Shared with petit Dina. Clear amber, small head. Aroma is lightly malty, dried fruit, spicy, cinnamon. Raisins, dried cherries and some candy. Smooth, medium body, sweet dried fruit and caramel with a bitter spicy touch, cloves and caraway. Good balance, finishes moderately dry.

330ml bottle from Match supermarket just outside Gare d'Amiens, drunk on the train subsequent train to Lille Flandres. Pours blonde, slightly unclear, large white head. Aroma of pale malt, brisk hop bitterness, mild yeast sweetness, finishing dry. Ok overall.

330ml bottle from Match supermarket just outside Gare d'Amiens whilst awaiting a connection coming back from Trans Balkan Race 2026. Drunk on the train in my collapsable rubber cup. Pours brown, moderate carbonation, off-white head. Nutty, twiggy tangent from the off, noticeable bitterness with a little toffee sweetness on the finish. Ok.

Bottle from a French supermarket - many thanks, Anke! Clear yellow, quickly dissipating, frothy, white head. Aroma of lots of coriander, citrus, lemon, yeast, apple peel, unripe pear. Taste has sweetish maltiness of basic fruits, sour citrus, lemon & wheat, bitter coriander & pepper; spicy, yeasty, wheaty, grassy hoppy finish. Medium body, slick-soapy texture, fizzy carbonation. Unremarkable.

Bottle from a French supermarket - many thanks, Anke! Clear golden with a stable, thin, frothy, white head. Aroma of apple peel, unrip epear, pale malt, breadcrust, straw, honey. Taste has plain maltiness, apple & pear & some honey with a spicy accent. Yeasty finish, some grassy hops & unripe fruit. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. 'Plain' Ale.

Bottle from a French supermarket - many thanks, Anke! Clear amber with a lasting, thin, off-white head. Aroma of red apple, raisin, blood orange, herbs, liquorice, tobacco, caramel. Taste has sweetish apple, orange & toffee maltiness, low herbal bitterness well into the finish, a bit spciy with red fruit & vague sweet tobacco in the back. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Good effort.
