Tap @ Utrecht Beerfestival 2014, small sample. Sligth hazy reddish color, short head. Aroma is just what you expect from an imperial red ale on bordeaux barrels: lots of carared, so a bit roasted, slight raisin, some caramel, slight piney hops, together with a soft but very present red wine notes. Soft bitterness in taste, slight sweet, fruity of the wine. Hint of vanilla and oak as well. Great in balance, alcohol hardly noticeable. Lovely beer.

@UBF14, Citra Dry-Hop variant, donker oranje/amber met witte goed plakkerige kraag. aroma is werkelijk prima, citrus en grapefruit, erg goed. smaken zijn die van een goede citrus/grapefruit/den, echter wel op een vrij lichte/zwakke body. zacht en glad, tevens wat zoetig. licht bitter in de afdronk, verbazingwekkend goed na al de voorgaande bieren op het festival --- Beer merged from original tick of Broeders Special Edition: Citra Dry Hop on 23 May 2018 at 14:21 - Score: 7

@UBF14, caramelbruin biertje met witte kraag. aroma van redelijk caramel, hoppig, alcohol. smaken zijn ondanks de stevige alcoholpercentage en de BA redelijk bitter, redelijk zoet, maar wel glad, zacht en romig, iets lichte Bordeaux tonen maar niet extreem, hoe lang heeft deze op ’t vat gestaan ?. afdronk is redelijke kruidige zoetigheid. maar prima te drinken. ben zelfs nog een keer terug gegaan voor deze ;) --- Beer merged from original tick of Imperial Red Ale - Bordeaux BA (2014) on 23 May 2018 at 14:19 - Score: 7

Draught @ UBF 2014. Hazy yellow to orange color, full sized white head. Smell and taste malts, I get some oatmeal somehow, a slight sourish touch whilst it has a bitter finish. Not bad, but not my style I guess.

Draught @ UBF 2014. Slightly hazy orange color, small white to off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, lightly grassy, nicely hoppy, nicely bitter. Refreshing. Nice beer.

Bottle 330ml. [ As vandeStreek bier Broeders ].Clear medium orange color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, marzipan malt, light caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a long duration, marzipan malt, sugary - sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140117]

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is grassy hop, slightly woody with some yeast. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a yeast, grass, nettle, slightly floral bitter palate and a long biter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. The hops are there, and it’s drinkable but it seems out of balance and the bitterness in the palate is somewhat unpleasant and it stayed around forever.
