About
In 1995, the roof of the Rams Head Tavern in Annapolis, Maryland was removed and a brewhouse lowered in, handcrafting fine ales and lagers under the name of Fordham Brewing. As Fordham’s reputation spread throughout the Chesapeake region, the brewery made the decision to relocate to Dover, Delaware in 2003, where we had room to expand.

1989 stands out as a landmark moment when the Old Dominion Brewing Co. established a brewpub operation in Ashburn, Virginia. The small brewpub quickly became a production brewery that was named one of the Top 50 breweries in the U.S.

Based on our shared values and a common philosophy of quality brewing, Fordham and Dominion joined forces in 2007 and consolidated operations in 2009.

Admin Note: In 2018, Fordham and Dominion Brewing Company ended it's relationship with AB-InBev and is back to being fully independent.

Bottle at home from Kris Wines. Pours clear amber with off white bubbly head. Aroma is toffee, bit of subtle hoppiness, mainly malt. Taste is caramel malty, sweet, little bit of spice/pepper and a bitter hoppy finish. Perfectly nice, but maybe not so exciting. --- Beer merged from original tick of Fordham Copperhead Ale on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Bottle. A- Bitter, roasty, coffee, burnt. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Burnt sugar, iron, bitter, espresso, coffee grounds. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- Provided much more of a bitter flavor than actually showing off any coffee. Not a fan.

Bottle: Clear, light amber with a smooth, off-white head. Apricot, toffee, candied-orange aroma. Taste is sweet apricot, toffee malt, candi sugar. Gets a little tart, with a strong alcohol bitter. On the harsh side.....
