Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 11.08.16. Wonderful aroma and taste of good, dry cider and proper cider apples, with a hint pears and sulphites. Excellently (and dangerously) quaffable.

Flaske fra helsekosten i Straensenteret, delt med Ovesen før tapping av Holmens Kjerne 3: klar gylden med 4-sekunders skum. Nydelig eplearoma sammen med litt honnning og pære. Enda bedre smak, balansert og meget lettdrikkelig.

500 ml clear bottle, as Cornish Orchards Gold Cider, from Vinmonopolet Verksgt., Stavanger. ABV is 5.0%. Clear golden colour, pours moderately sparkling with a white head that dies out instantly. Aroma of apples and sulphites. Moderate carbonation in the mouth. Flavour mid between dy and sweet, notes of apples and sulphites. Average stuff, not a particularly great cider.

Bladder bag at the Falcon BF, Wooburn Green, 09/07/16. Note - straight from the bag, this was not served warm. Light hazed on a golden copper pour with an off white head of bubbles. Nose is apple and cinnamon pie, spice strew, stewed apples, earthy. Taste comprises winter cheer, apple pie, clove, spice, earthy orchard notes. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close. Ok offering - does as it says on the tin although I couldn’t drink a great deal of this.

Bottle from Waitrose. Golden in colour, with a touch of fizz. An easy drinking cider, with some sweetish apple fruit upfront, before a drier, lingering finish. Ok.

Bottle at home, 15/05/18. Golden with a decent enough white head as ciders go. Nose is bitter sweet apple, grains, straw. Taste comprises apple pulp, hint of vanilla, light vinous notes, straw, vaguest of funky touches. Medium bodied, light prickly carbonation, drying close. Decent enough cider.

Bottle from Ciderwinkel, BB 18 06 17, large sample. Clear deep golden to orange color, short head with lively carbonation. Aroma of fresh apple, some oak, slight tartness. Bit tart apple in taste, slight oak, bit sweetness, soft carbonation. Bit dry and bitter tannines in the finish. Decent.

Bottle from Ciderwinkel, medium sample. Clear pale hint of yellow color, short bubbly head. Aroma of apple, slight oak wood, some custard. Bit sweet in taste, apple, dry, oak, again some vanilla custard. Nice one.
