BOTTLE 50 CL at 8% abv. Clear dark ruby, beige head. The aroma is a strange mix of coffee/chocolate, toffee and yeast, some green olive brine. The taste is also slightly chocolaty, with the same yeasty/meaty and briny off-flavour. Everything is saved by a balance of moderate caramel sweetness and good clean lactic sourness. Good full but easy drinking body. Nice, bit feels a little off.

05-03-17 // 500ml bottle. Hazy dark golden beer with foamy white head. Interesting taste as it is a spicy wheatbeer with some ginger and herbal notes along with some lemony tocuhes and also hints of sour nuances.

Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting. Altbier with blackcurrants. Dark red colour, nearly black. Aroma of blackcurrants, caramel and salt of hartshorn. Flavour of berryskins and smoke / bacon. Not my cup of tea, but at least it is different from the crowd.

Shared bottle at RB/HD on board Fridtjofen 21.01.17. Dark ruby. Diminishing pink head. Aroma of berry skins and bacon. Lots of smoke in taste. Sour aftertaste. A fruit beer as they would have made in Bamberg. Not balanced.
