For me, it is not real double ipa, it means more a normal ipa, malty for the style, rather dry and smooth, resinous hop, not so bitter, 10.11.19, I have purchased this beer at Kornwestheim, drinking it with pleasure at Epalinges.

Old rating - A 330ml bottle collected from a bottle shop in Freiburg a couple of years ago. Pours a near black with a beige foamy head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, roasted malt & berries. Medium body. Alcohol presence is fairly strong. Sweet malty roasted finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle from ShivanDragon, thanks! Aroma is roasted malt with coffee, sharpish dark fruits, chocolate, touch of liquorice, lightly herbal. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a moderate roasty bitterness. Body is just a little above medium. Decent Imperial Stout, nice roast and coffee, but I'm not too fond of the sharpness from the dark fruity tones.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Strong mandarin citrus aroma with soft hops, orange, touch of marmalade, malt, light caramel. Fairly sweetish, light floral, moderate bitterness and a medium body. Not bad.

500 ml can #9 from the 2023 Costco Advent calendar. Pours a hazy gold color with a white head and great retention. Very good lacing too. Sharper pilsner malt aroma. The flavor is not as sharp as the aroma. Tastes like a standard lager, but with a definitive dry pilsner malt finish. A little sweet bread and citrus in the mix too. Clean, smooth, and flavorful. The 6.5% ABV is very well hidden. Medium body and medium carbonation. Lightly bitter.

500ml can from Costco. Golden pour, some cloudiness, ring of frothy white head. Biscuity aroma, light sweetness. Taste continues the bready notes, sweet, trailing bitterness, fruity, citrus. Mouthfeel, mealy.

16oz can pours a murky orange, a ring if white head. Nose has malt and candy, some orange, some herb. Flavors of candy and astringent herbs, almost Belgian in a way, candied citrus peel. Finishes fullish bodied and drinks bigger than 6.5%.

Another fun surprise from Advent calendar. Greenish gold and soapy head. Nose is lemony and bready. Tatses of sourdough, lemon, honey, some herbs. Chewy mouthfeel.
