33cl Bottle at Café Brecht. Clear orange amber colour, white head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malts, grain, like a combo of a typical sweet American IPA and a lager, some hops. Flavour is sweet, caramel, grain, resin, grass, firm bitter finish. Light-bodied. Ok, but out of balance.

Bottle. It pours a next to black body under a small, dense, light tan head. Licorice, dark chocolate, molasses, toasted bread and some dried fruits in the aroma. A faint and pleasant hoppyness too. The flavor is pretty much the same, although a bit richer. Some faint alcohol notes. Chocolate, molasses and toasted bread. Prunes and a little mint touch too. Full body, sweetish and soft on the palate, with a lasting finish. Quite nice this one, sure worth a revisit. 140509

Bottle. A clear, dark golden beer with a small, white head. Pleasant but a tad weak aroma. Citrus peel, pine cones, peaches and a touch of maltyness in the aroma. The flavor has some bitterness, but not enough I think. It’s too sweet compared to the level of bitterness. Fruityness, some peaches and a touch of lemon in the flavor. Lasting finish with too much sweetness. A decent one, but nothing impressive. 140418
