Description

Tap at ACU. Slight hazy Amber with white head. Grapefruit, lots of tropical fruits, sweet nuts, light caramel, citrus peel bitter towards to finish. Medium bodied. Pretty nice ipa.

Muddy, dark brown appearance. The aroma is quite grassy with some plain malts. Flavour lacks intensity and depth. Feels rather thin and gassy. Maybe it wasn’t quite ready.

Sampled at PINT Winterbierfestival Gouda, 2015. Murky opaque dark brown to black color, average sized light brown head. Aroma is malts, lightly hops, floral and a bit weird. Taste malts, again floral and something perfumy, a bit weird, lightly roast. Hmm I’m not convinced. No it’s just not really good. Meh.

Tap @ ACU, several medium samples. Slight hazy dark brown color, short frothy brownish head. Aroma of citrussy hops, bit earthy, some roast, hint of coffee. Medium bitter in taste, slight sweetness from caramel, bit roast. More towards a hoppy stout with quite some roasty character, than an IPA with a touch of roast. Easy drinker, bit thin in body perhaps, soft carbonation. Enjoyed a couple of this one at RUIGs 1st birthday party.

On tap @ Kafé België, Utrecht with Ivar. Dark brown with a beige head. Spicy aroma with roasted malts and dark fruits. The black pepper isn’t easily noticeable in the aroma but becomes apparent with tasting. The typical peppery mouthfeel/taste is unmistakable. Nice spicy bock.

Tap at UBF on 10/05/2014. Amber colour with a decent head. Full body beer with a pleasure aftertaste but the problem is that the alcohol is not balanced. Next one please!
