Hazy light orange, heavily carbonated to collapsing whipped-cream like head. Fully saturated nose with grapy and dusty hops as very fresh hops in the bale, faint touch of oranges and cookie malt. Outspoken hopbitter taste going over in short chocolate bitter and even metallic. Starts very aromatic but very quickly deteriorates into a very harsh, hops-essence bitterness, quinine-like or even, as lachesis said, chlorehexidine-like. Quite full bodied, bit fluffy MF. Long lasting bitternerness. Promises the world in the nose, and then tops over as a boat with an overloaded deck. Balance, gentlemen, balance. Thanks to lachesis for this bottle.

Dude! There is an Xtreme skiier on the label. Rad? This beer is a reddish amber color with a thin beige head and minimal lacing. Aroma of bread, malt and hops. Medium bodied with citrusy hops and a fair amount of malt underneath. The finish is clean, short and hoppy. Not a bad beer by any means, just nondescript enough for me to forget it pretty quickly. Good thing I am writing this down.

2005 bottle from Julios, consumed 6/16/2005. Gold-amber with soft copper/gold-leaf tones. Transluscent. Cream colored head and tons of it with awesome amounts of lacing. Well-retained head. Hops are quite bitter, and this is drier on the end than Stone or DFH. Bit of water to make it drinkable, and quite crisp overall. No graininess from the malt, which is pale and not hugely assertive. Hops linger on end and are quite sticky. Scratch that, make it VERY sticky, the more I drink. Very flavorful, interesting and sessionable. I like how this has some unique character and isnt just another cookie-cutter ipa. Moderate carbonation, and a medium body, not as much sweetness as I would expect, but it’s not thin or unbalanced. 7/5/7/4/16

Not quite the beer I had in bottles. This was a fresh keg too. The main problem was a strong sourish flavor on the finish, either b-vitamin-like and/or dirty yeastiness (doubtful) but more likely an aspirin-like character from the hops. Whatever it was, it ruins the light, crisp nature of the beer and dulls the hop brightness. Will try again, of course, but lowering my score a few points. Didnt find the unique hop flavors/aromatics that I did in the bottle I had. Seemed like much more of a cookie-cutter IPA.

Orangey-amber colour. The orangey, piney aroma is very fresh. Fairly bitter body, but with substantial malt base - tastes like some light crystal and maybe Vienna. The sweetness gets a little caramelly towards the finish, but that’s when I want the beer to start drying out.

Dark brown colour. Coffee & dark chocolate aroma. Nutty, ashy flavour with light woody bitterness and fresh, clean roast notes.

Amber colour with a dense, rocky head. Earthy, sweaty, slightly piney aroma. Fairly bitter body, woody overtones and toasty, whole grain undertones. Dry finish. Balanced and flavourful session beer.

Golden-amber colour. Soapy, piney/thymey hop aroma. Moderately hoppy amber ale with woody, toasty notes, and an even balance. Style Police Ruling: an ESB should not be made with such a clean yeast...this is an amber ale. But as argo0 rightly points out, no complaints. It’s a good session beer.

Dull dark amber colour with rich head. Piney, slightly minty hop aroma with breadcrusty malts. Rich, resiny hop flavour. The woody bitterness is balanced by ample whole grain malts, as well as toast and caramel notes. Like most of Great Divide’s beers, this is easy-drinking and well-structured while maintaining stylistic integrity.

Slightly hazy orange-amber colour. Earthy, slightly caramelly, crackerlike aroma. Earthy, slightly toasty, slightly caramelly flavour. Medium body. Good balance. A straightforward amber - and thus devoid of any particular attractions - but decently made.
