Another of my gifts from Australia: 4 Pines Brewing Kölsch 4.5% A somewhat cloudy gold with a fizzy white head. A honey rich bready aroma. The dry light body adds to the flavors of honey, oats and wild fruits from the fields. It evokes a summer breeze. Very pleasant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can 375ml (canned 22.07.2017). Clear golden colour, small white-greyish head, delicate lacing. Aroma is fresh with hop, resin note and maybe very small note of young beer like acetaldehyde but very gentle and hidden behind hops. Medium dry, smooth in taste. Bitterness is light to medium with resin character, a little bit astringent but quite nice in overall. Average IPA but something is missed in this beer and it seems to be without the hop "claw", too polite.

Can. Amber with a white head. Aroma is spicy and grassy with ("dank") tropical fruit and some mandarin behind, a little caramel and bread. Sweet with some stinky tropical fruit and resin before spices, mandarin and quite heavy bitterness at the snappy end. Interesting how they've wrangled the hop blend (Enigma, Vic Secret, Helga, Australian Willamette & Galaxy, probably in that order) here - the tropical fruit is not allowed to get lush. Impressive. Perhaps they'll get good use out of those infamous proprietary Sth African hops in future batches.

(Can) Pours clear golden with small loose white head. Nice aroma of pine with citrus notes. Medium body with great carbonation. The foretaste is a nice balance of tangy citus fruit and biscuity malt. In the mid palate the fruit dies away and hoppy bitterness starts to build, and this carries over into a long finish. Very nice.

500ml bottle. Pours dark red brown. Coconut, chocolate, biscuits, some sour fruity cherry in the flavour. Pretty imbalanced, but the flavours are nice.

(Bottle) Clear golden amber with good dense white head. Lovely aroma of fruits and pine. Medium body with great carbonation - both soft and lively. Hops carry the flavour from start to finish. The start has lovel fruity juicy flavour. The finish has some pleasant bitterness. There’s biscuity malt behind this, and quite a lot of sweetness. Not sure it is quite well balanced, but it’s a great complex mix of flavours. Very enjoyable.
