Cask at the 2014 GBBF. Light golden colour with no head. Aroma is grainy and berry hedgerow hop. Flavour is light golden, crisp floral hop. Palate is medium light, grainy. Lingering berry. Pretty tasty.

Sampled @ GBBF. Clear yellow to golden color, small off-white head. Smell and taste are like a typical yellow golden bitter: lightly malts, lightly bitter, a hint of butter. Hmm average beer.

Had this on draught at GBBF, Olympia, London, Tuesday 12th August 2014 Pours mid gold white bubbling on surface, initially the bitterness is harsh because there is not enough sweet malts but its good, nice temperature, nice citrussy, fruity bitter bite, damn good for the abv. Actually scrub that remark I am getting some sweetness now, perhaps I needed to flush out the previous beer. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Hand-pulled pint in The Rocklands Club, Redditch on 16th June 2014. Clear golden pour with a white topping. Good hop nose and taste, bitter and dry: a fine example of a UK brewed IPA.

Hand-pulled pint in the lovely ’Little Pack Horse’ Bewdley on 22nd Feb 2014. Looks every inch a pilsner/lager: white head on a clear golden body. Also odourless, just like most pilsners/lagers. Grainy and leaning towards a sweetness that hides the hop content somewhat. There was a slight dryness in the finish but not really a lot going on in the mouth. Refreshing and thirst quenching but a little too much like a pilsner/lager for me. Obviously well made and different to most cask beers, glad I’ve had one: my first beer from this brewery.

Cask at GBBF 2012 - London. Pours clear yellow with a faint, white foam head. Dry straw in the nose. Light sweet flavor with dry dough, straw, mellow grass. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweetness to finish with faint doughy pale malts, a bit more hay. Not bad.

Cask at the Black Eagle, Birmingham. Poured a clear medium amber with a broken white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is fruity but somewhat weak. The flavour is medium bitter, malty and with a nice hoppy bitterness on the palate which lingers into the aftertaste. A perfect session ale.
