330 ml can into glass. As 'Four Frogs Creperie Lager'. Same brewery, same style, same ABV. I'm assuming same beer. Amber beer with slight haze, thousands of tiny bubbles, frothy white head. Pils nose of grain and caramel. Smooth mouthfeel, standard dry Pils taste and finish, not as harsh as some. Pretty good quaffer, goes well with crepes I bet!

Frenchies Barista Stout 4.2%

Deep brown/black with dark beige foam that didn’t linger. Medium bodied with a scratchy carbonation. The taste is sweet roasty coffee. This is nice but I’d enjoy it more if it was fuller and smoother bodied…

(Can) Pours slightly hazy amber with small short-lived pale amber head. Aroma is very dominantly banana. Smooth medium body with fine bright carbonation. Start is distinctly tart and then banana and notes of caramel and dough emerge. There’s a slight, and slightly sharp, bitterness in the finish. Very pleasant.

(Can) Pours slightly hazy golden with small white head. Nice aroma of yeast, pepper, bread and caramel. Medium body with good fine carbonation. Good taste. There’s a nice peppery note throughout. Some gentle lemon notes at the start. Some soft caramel hints in the mid palate. Modest peppery bitter finish. Very nice

(Can) Pours black with a big tan head. Aroma of cherries and dark roast grains. Medium body, smooth, creamy with fine soft carbonation. Taste has rich dark chocolate malt with some burnt sugar bitterness at the end. There’s cherries and a nice creaminess. On initial tasting I got some rather off putting metallic notes, but they dissipated quickly, thankfully. It’s a very good rendering of a BFG with some nice bitterness in then finish. Very good.

Can. Clear amber with a small white head. Aroma of pine needles, breadcrust, grapefruit, weeds. Newfangled hop derivatives but tastes very 90s. Dryish but with a caramel element. Bitter with plenty of pine at the end.

From a 440ml can on 15/12/2024. Pours a slightly opaque dirty golden with a small to medium head. Has some muted fruit and refrigerator on the nose. The flavour is similarly muted - a bit of passionfruit, orange and lemon, with some hints of peach. Finishes with a modest bitterness with a bit of tang. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Drinkable but pretty underwhelming.

Can. Deep red with a beige head that fades to a coat. Aroma of dried banana, figs, spices (ginger, coriander, mace) and lightening citrus. Not as sweet as expected and only medium bodied. Christmas ale-level spices with bread, brown sugar, dried fruit and citrus peel. Lively bitterness at the end. Alcohol is not overt but you know you're drinking it.
