500ml bottle picked up in Alnwick. Pours amber with a white head. Aromas & tastes of fruits, toffee, bread & malt. Moderate body. Light bitter finish.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pours clear golden with a thick white head. Aromas of orange peel and light spice. Taste has more orange zest and hint of pale malt. Light bitter finish, a bit fizzy.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pours clear yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of light corn and lemon. Taste is more of the same with a hint of sucrose. Clean finish though.

Bottle from Independent Food and Drink, Amble High Street. Pours clear pale gold with a thin white head. Aromas of lemon barley water. Taste is quite strong grapefruit and lemon squash. Pithy bitter finish.

Cask at Lady Grey’s, Newcastle. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Aromas of lemon citrus and hay. Taste has more of the same, plus bready malt. Not a lot going on really. OK.

[ As Mordue Five Bridges ].
ABV: 3.6%. Clear medium amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, fruity malt, light apple. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, pale malt, light apple. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20180724]

11/5/2018. Straight from cask at the Station House, Durham. Pours golden amber with minimal head. Aroma of malt, fruit, caramel, hop and flowers. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, soft to flat carbonation. Nice level of bitterness to finish. Decent sessionable ale.
