Aromas of chocolate, raisin, cherry, nuts, toast and spice. The sweetness of the fruity flavours balances the dryness of the chocolate and toast. The palate is a little watery but other than that it's a ripper.

hazy pale, thick white head. Light, hoppy aroma and flavour has some grassy hop, a bit of zesty lemon and not a hell of a lot else but it's got a crisp bitter finish and a nice clean flavour and at this strength you can session it very happily.

Can at Arde's residence, Helsinki. Color is clear light orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, hops and malts. Simple with little bit of boozy elements.

Can. Clear pale amber with a doming inch of white head. Light orange and tropical fruit aroma with not a lot else - a bit of Clag and card I suppose. Dryish with a very blah malt profile and despite the modest hop presence the fruit gives way to a peppery bitterness that's oddly harsh. Not for me.

355ml can into pint glass. From BWS, Armidale. Pours a dark dark brown with a foamy tan-coloured head. Smells like some-one eating jam on toast in the next room, sweet but distant. Good lacing. Tart with a little effervescence. Finish is full of of dark fruit with a finish that is dry for a beer but sweet for a red wine, think Merlot. Fascinating beer, really interesting and enjoyable.

From a 355ml can on 4/11/2019. Pours a clear medium golden with a medium head. Has a strong herbal and pine nose. Tastes of sweet tropical fruit with some biscuit malt. Has a really strong, resiny bitterness with some slight chemical notes. Full bodied with moderate carbonation. It's okay but could be smoother and have a bit more balance.

355ml can into pint glass. Thanks to Ratebeer and Beer Cartel. Golden amber beer, slight haze. Large foamy white head, a few streams of tiny bubbles. Light aroma of malt, citrus fruit, and hops. Full-bodied with an oily texture. Taste and finish are mildly fruity and woody. Unfortunately there is an obvious alcohol burn that lingers. Unbalanced and a real disappointment.

Can from Craftissimo at home. Clear deep golden pour with foamy white head. Aroma is pilsner malt, some tropical fruit, pine underneath, like a little bit dull west coast IPA. Taste is bitter, mostly pine hops, some tropical sweetness, and lots of malt. Medium light palate. Not bad but a bit disappointing relative to other excellent Pirate Life beers.

Can't think of when I ever heard the term "OG" used without cringing. Can. Dark brown with a light tan head. Mocha aroma with modest roasted malt. A little lick of caramel with the mocha early but pretty dry yielding to ashy and bitter. Thin and a bit empty before a finish I'd like if it wasn't. --- Beer merged from original tick of OG Stout on 11 Oct 2019 at 12:36 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 6. Can. Bright copper with a 2cm white head. 3+ Aroma of slightly tired pineapple, peach boiled lollies, some marijuana residue. Vibrant it ain't. Sweet but clean and (therefore?) not as heavy as expected. Not a lot of a top note, brooding resinous tropical and pine rumblings, bitterness struggles through a bit. Suspect this hasn't canned well. --- Beer merged from original tick of Tropical IIPA on 09 Oct 2019 at 12:36 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7.
