Bottle #0692 shared at the RBESG ’14, Grander Tasting @ Moncada, 09/08/14. Hazed golden yellow with a moderate off white covering. Nose is tarte citrics, straw, pale malts, bread dough. Taste comprises much the same. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stuff.

Bottle 704, danke Max via Günther! Weird phenolic fruity nose and oxidized Port. Cloudy yellow with floaties despite having been in the beer-fridge upright for two weeks, low white head. Full on barrel flavors, vanilla/oak/cigars, light fruitiness, honestly hardly anything left from the base beer. Medium full mellow body. Quick honey/fruit finish. Not every experiment works, and selling this one off for a premium honestly is a disgrace.

Bottle(#0685 of 3000):Golden, a bit hazy, some floaties visible, small and stable white head with a little lace; weak, but still well detectable barrique-like ("woody") aromas in the pale-malty to sweet-grainy nose; nearly moderate bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied for a beer of 7.1%; lingering "woody" finish with a certain fruity acidity. Not great, but, regarding the intended price of 30€ per bottle, a real bargain…

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a big and tanned foamy head. Wheaty and cara-malty aroma with fruity notes of apricot, banana, also a biscuity and slightly sugary touch, hints of delicately spicy phenols in the background. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly bready malty base with caramel, mildly fruity notes and also some hops, getting stronger towards the sweet-bitter and rather slim finish. Likeable, not a highlight. 28.VII.14

Bottle shared during the RBESG 2014 London Grand Tasting - Moncada Brewery. Pours clear amber-gold with a white foam head. Bready stuff, to be honest, with light caramel. Light bodied with average carbonation. Lightly dry on the finish with toasted caramel and bread. Low bitterness. OK.
