Cask at the Sultan, South Wimbledon on 15th December 2023. Clear copper with almost no foam or lace. Spiced malt aroma. Malty in-mouth with leafy hops and sweet spices. A bittersweet finish. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

19th October 2023, hand-pulled pint in the Railway Tavern, Newport Shropshire. Clean golden body, good white crown. Floral hop nose and taste, no idea what hops are used but it didn't seem too balanced to me, slight 'hop burn' over a mild malty base.

[Cask at the Alehouse, Reading.] A bright pale amber pour with a thin white head; subtle orange aroma; smooth in the mouth with a biscuity orange taste, then some apricot; and a touch of ginger before a dry finish with a touch of spicy bitterness. Very drinkable.

13/7/2023. Cask at the Chelmsford Summer Beer & Cider Festival 2023. Pours clear golden with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is herbal, very floral, grassy, ginger, yeast. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness with a light herbal tartness. Moderate body, slightly watery, soft carbonation. Not a big fan of this.

Cask@Angleterre, Helsinki. Yellow colour with a small foamy white longlasting head. Aroma is honey, some grains, mild grassy and floral tones with mild wood to it. Flavour is honey, bread, some floral and mild woode and grassy tones to it.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Aroma is fruity, some dark fruit and caramel. Clear toffee brown. Thin translucent white head. Sour berries with underlying woody streak. Then develops malty sweetness into the finish. Light-medium bodied. Flat carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Nice enough Bitter.

9/3/2023. Bottle bought at the Wyndham Arms, Salisbury. As Hop Back Pickled Santa. Pours almost clear golden amber with a minimally bubbly head. Aroma of caramel, malt, ginger, herbs, stewed fruits. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Oily, average to soft carbonation. Not so good, but a developing bitter finish made it a little better.
