In general, I like barley wines, but this one had a very dusty taste, like it’s way over its date.

Draught @ Arendsnest shared with Lothore. Clear apple-juice like color, smal white to off-white head. Smell and taste moderately malty, some banana, something weird, slightly alcohol sweetness. Average body, lightly oily texture, average carbonation. Meh.

In De Wildeman, Amsterdam tap: Pours murky gold with a blonde head. Fruity aroma and bubblegum. Taste is sweet, somewhat yeasty. There is a light fruity aftertaste. Nice body that isn’t either too light or too heavy. Nice enough.

Hazy pale blond colour. Aroma of yeast and orange citrus. Quite a fruity, juicy citrus flavour with some sweeter candy notes too. A good Tripel packing in lots of flavour in just 6.5%.

Aroma has some raisin and caramel maltiness. Flavour has quite a good bitter taste with just a touch of sweetness from the raisin that comes through quite strongly in the finish.
