About

In September 2022, the name and logo are changed. The brewery continues as VD Bier.

In November 2024, the brewery announced that it would transfer beer production to the Berging Brewery in Purmerend thus becoming a client brewer.

500ml bottle. Clear dark amber colour with huge, firm, foamy, off-white head. Fruity aroma has notes of red and dark berries, minimally sweet, minimally tart and with a dry touch of leather. Taste is decently dry, leather-like dark malty, a bit yeasty, later also minimally herbal.

2007 vintage bottle shared from Deanso. Pours a murky brown with lots of sediment. Aroma is just like an aged Stille Nacht, major sweet caramel with a fruity aspect. Flavour is heavy sweet with some alcohol burn in the finish. Full bodied with soft (but more than expected given the age) carbonation.

Cloudy mid-brown beer. Big frothy off white head. Soft palate turning frothy. Sweet malt. Toffee caramel. Undertone of sweet medicine and creamy red fruits. A little aniseed alcohol as well. This beer came out of left field and pleasantly surprised me!
