Cask, half pint at Angel in Manchester. Close to clear, apricot coloured body. Headless. Fresh fruity aroma of citrus. Taste of dried and fresh fruity hops. Bittersweet finish. Oily palate. Medium bodied. Nice (23.01.2013).

500ml bottle - a bit livelier than the other Axholmes I’ve had, deep cloudy brown body, thin frothy white head. Nose of rich citrus. malts and a little bit of booze in there. A strange sourness to the taste, spices, bitter oranges, sour candy. An odd mouthfeel, rather buttery in texture, the carbonation initially there soon goes. Very complex and hard to fathom out.
