Description

[2 year old bottle] Hazy golden with good white head. Sweet spicy and malty aroma. Yeast and orange peel notes. Flavor is sweet with fruits, yeast, orange peel, coriander and roasted malt. Slight bitterness in the end and a warming alcohol touch. Perfect balance. Very nice

Thanks to Yespr. 75 cl bottle. (remember these large bottles are different from the regular Achel bruin, I had my problems figuring that out:-) Pours dark brown with a red hew & creamy lasting white head that creates some magnificent curtains. Aroma & taste is of Port/vinous, dried dark fruits, roasted malts, caramel & brown sugar. Filling, smooth & warm. Creamy phat lacings. Long end. A fabolous trappist beer. Way better than Achel bruin!

Voluminöser Antrunk, schokoladig-malzig, deutlich herb, etwas fruchtig. Test vom 8.12.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 15,12,12,11,8,12 - 11,95

0.33 l bottle. Pours murky yellow/orange body with big head. Aroma of banana, sweetish with some hints of coriander. Flavor is about perfect, full and well balanced between bitterness, sweetness and sourness. Moderate carbonation. Finish is very long pleasant a bit bitter which ends with sweet for a long time. Excellent beer, actually a nice surprise. Yeah!

(33 cl bottle) Clear dark copper to brown color, big lasting bubble tan head. Lots of co2 making it hard to pour more than just a little bit of the bottle at a time. Sweet, acidic and spicy scent; also some milk and a bunch of alcohol. Spicy and metallic taste, rather tame. Spicy aftertaste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.
