Bottle [from trade with GlasgowTAD] @ home. Thanks Tad! Finally a beer from the famous-by-Craigs-tweets-bar/brewery. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium to full sized light brown head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, quite roasty, iron, lightly ashy, a slight hint of smoke. Taste malts, quite roasty, iron, again a hint of smoke and moderately bitter. Don’t get any hops though. Suitable body and carbonation. Nice porter!

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy golden/amber body with a medium white head. No visible carbonation. Aroma of lime, wet grass and melon. Flavour of gin and tonic, pale malt and vine tomatoes. Medium body with an oily texture. Light fizz. A fruity, tasty Pale Ale. As a side note - how do Drygate get their labels to stick like they do? It’s tacky to the touch, almost like they’ve been superglued on...

Keg at Mother Kelly’s. It pours clear golden with a decent white head. The nose is soft, juicy floral, light herbal, smooth smoke, vanilla, gummy bears and candy. The taste is bitter, peppery, cracker, smoke, toasty grass, earth and straw with a dry finish. Light-medium body and moderate carbonation. Well rounded and quaffable. Nice.

Mother Kelly’s. Keg. Light haze on this gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry. Mellow sweetish malts, a little lactose. Mild citric peel. Any smoke is lost on me but I have had a few! Light dry finish.
