Belgo Sapiens was officially born on August 27, 2015, the date the first brew was released. 15 years after his training, 15 years after traveling around the world, 15 years after the development of the brewpubs between France and Canada, Damien Demunter opened Belgo Sapiens in his homeland, a brewery with a strong brewing heritage and proud of its terroir.

Small off-white head over metallic copper beer; medium carbonation. Rainwater² (specific as seldom), with caramel in the background. Serious caramel orally; bit of toffee and parsley in the finish. Bit sticky MF, lighter in reality than in the mouth. Humpf... Txs to Stef!

Good white head, dense, fed by highly carbonated golden beer with light Grünstich Coriander, orange, ginger, yeast as aromas. Taste is better balanced, some pale malts, faintly spiced, bit of resin even. Bit perfumey, certainly warming up. Bit empty, coriander/wheatslick. On the verge of overcarbonation. Decent tastewise, but a tad easy. Txs to Stef!

33cl bottle from Beer52.com. A pale straw coloured pour with a loose, fast-fading, white head; some coriander and banana in the aroma; but the taste is rather watery with sweet grains and some weak banana; the finish is dry with a slight spicy heat, that just might be ginger. Rather disappointing in comparison to the well known brands in this style.
