Draft pour pint at Cairn, ordered as the Marzen, because I'm not even going to try to pronounce the full name correctly. I'm not even sure if I pronounce Marzen correctly. Can I have the seasonal please? Bright copper orange pour. Clean and crisp appearance. Sweet maple like grain, malty aroma. Tastes like summer is coming to an end. Rich malts with a bit of a warming side. Cool malty finish. Very flavorful. I think I'm ready to drink beer like this outside in the less than warm weather. Good Okto a erfest kick off brew for me.

Draft pour pint at Cairn, fittingly enjoyed along with my pup. WA streak continues to soon get 50% of all my rates from this state of great beer. A clean and clear golden orange pour. A patchy fizz head. Quite the bitter IPL here but it works. Sharp taste up front, a settling caramel malt finish. Smooth for the most part. Has a slight citrus like bitter that shows late in the palate. Good overall.

Draft pour pint at Cairn. First in the series that I have absolutely no expectations on the hop profile. Shiny golden pour. Fading head. Aroma is an odd grain. Slight plastic. Some citrus as well. Extra bitter hops up front in the flavor. Interesting to try a new hop. An alright addition to the series.

Draft pour pint at Cairn. An absolutely packed house here in an early Saturday afternoon. People who love beer. People who love hiking. All the things in between at this brewery book signing. A clean amber pour, thin active fizz head. A slight nutty grain, a touch of caramel aroma. Flavor has a sweet side and a spicy side. Pretty balanced. A good amount of flavor equipped with this lager. A refreshing pair to this beautiful sunny day not far from the river of honor. Outdoor drinkin! Makes any beer better.

Draft pour to a tulip at Cairn. Glad they brought this particular version back. Though I don't believe I physically missed this beer, I missed rating it, so getting another taste was my only hope to dominating the top rated status of this brewery nobody will ever catch me at. An extra clean and clear golden pour. Oily fizz head. Has a refreshing melon fruit nose to it. Based on memory, and looking at luttons notes (which I believe I had this beer along with), I believe this beer may have improved between batches. A juicy, yet thin grapefruit character that's intriguing. Citrus flavor that sits between sweet and bitter. Pint worthy flavor too. A good beer to add to the series, and one of the better ones I've had. Pretty good stuff.

Draft pour to a tulip at Cairn, celebrating their two year anniversary. Cheers to my ultimate local! Clean and bright golden pour. Moderate aroma of straw grains and belgian yeast. Certainly didn't expect the the imperial extra strong ale that followed. Grain front, white grape, Belgian yeast, but really hot up front. 9.7% seems to be describing the second runnings of this strong. Boozy sure, but the flavor isn't bad. Drinks easy enough all things considered. It is what they say it is, and then a little more. Between harsh and nice, it vary leans towards nice.

Draft pour to a schooner during the Cairn anniversary weekend. Cheers to you guys! It's been fun supporting the closest brewery to my residence for two years now! To be honest, I was a bit hesitant on this NE IPA. To be also honest, they did a good job with it. Really thick, hazy peach orange pour with a thin foam head. Citrus forward nose, bitter hop indication, juicy suggestion as well. Flavor is a bit smoother than I would have guessed from the aroma. Peach, apricot, and citrus fruit, all in a juicy, cream format. A good representation of the style in my opinion. I really enjoyed this NE IPA here. Executed nicely. I'll come back for a pint of this for sure.

Draft pour to a tulip at Cairn. Probably the haziest in the series so far. A glowing golden pour. Thin oily head. Unique addition to the series here. A biscuit like grain with a lemon like hop addition that borders being tart. Aroma is lemony as well. Reminds me more of a farmhouse aroma opposed to an IPA. Very unique. Slight spice to the malt bill. Interesting beer here. I hear it blends nicely with the HT#2 Mosaic that's on again. Haven't tried the mix, but it sounds like it would work out. Fun Calypso showcase here. Update. It seems like the haze has settled, and the bitterness has grown a ton. Much better fresh.

Draft 11 oz pour at Cairn. A dark, cola black pour. Tan cream foam head. Toasty, chocolate, metallic aroma. Flavor is a huge roasted character. Borders a smoke note. Thin, but the warming, toasty malt flavors linger on. Has a bite to this. Isn't really all that smooth, though i suppose it's not really advertised to be. Bold flavor front, but gets a little watery in the middle, before the roasted coffee like linger. Having trouble deciding if I like this or not. I feel like it's close to something I'd enjoy a lot.

Draft pour pint at Cairn. Love the name. A dense, muddy dark brown pour with an active fizz head. Some banana, fronted over dark fruit in the aroma. Raisin. Flavor is some dusty dark malts, caramely, and knocking on sweet. Dark raisin like fruit, some more banana. A little nutty a well, but barely. A banana bread reminder. Cool constant. Certainly a unique offering as far as my immediate local is concerned. Refreshing. Good beer.
