Description
The philosophy of the brewery was from the start on based on the priority use of regional raw materials in order to perpetuate the brewing and agricultural tradition of the Nord Pas de Calais region. Thus, the range of ''Bières de Garde'' are brewed exclusively from hops from the Coophounord regional cooperative.

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy, rosy darkened brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma has some citrus hints to a sour zesty aroma. Taste is bright, crisp, lightly tart with some herbal elements to a zesty citrus sour character. Not bad.

Bottle at home from La Cave a Bulles, 28th January 18. Pours a black beer. Aroma is vineous, wet barrel, liquor. Taste is sour, vineous, liquor, barrel, thin, booze. OK.

Tap at La Fine Mousse, 18th October 16. Pours black and fairly light in body. Aroma is liquor, chocolate, barrel. Taste is bitter sweet, the cognac comes through well and more so as it warms, cocoa, chocolate, slight smoke. Nice stuff

Poured at Shelton Festival, hazy copper with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is candi sugar, wood, vanilla, bourbon. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, light smoke finish, very good.

Poured at Shelton Festival, dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa, wood, bourbon, vanilla. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, boozy finish, good.

Bottle from Cave a Bulles, at home, 17th December 17. Pours black, bubbly head. Aroma is liquorice, cocoa. Taste is barrel, wood, slight sour, liquor, very tasty and interesting impy, dry not sweet, damp wood. Pretty good.
