Description
Former name until 2006: "Privatbrauerei Josef Sigl".

The Trumer private brewery, formerly the Josef Sigl private brewery, is located in Obertrum am See near Salzburg and was founded in 1601. In 2006 the name was changed to the current company name. The Trumer private brewery is an eighth generation family business. Beer has been brewed in Obertrum am See since 1601. The brewery has been owned by the Sigl family since 1775 and is currently managed by the eighth generation of Josef C. Sigl.

The brewery uses a tight and - probably - unique and (partly) certified brewing process with 100% natural hops, an open fermentation in open yeast vats and a process of slow brewing (they take the time to let the beer mature).

Brown with a frothy, white head. Aroma taste of roasted grains and caramel. Pears underneath, in the direction of fermenting. Taste is bittersweet up front with the caramel taking the upper hand. The subdued finish has a mild, grainy bitterness. Medium-bodied, moderate to mild carbonation. Not bad.

Rocky white head on an unclear pale golden coloured body. Sweet malt, biscuits & fruity citrussy aroma. Medium bodied, soft smooth & cloying. Sweet, berries, tea & biscuit tastes with a tangy finish. I could drink a few of this.
