Cask dispense into an English half pint jug at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green - Jan ’12 . Pours copper / amber in colour with a white head. Slightly floral and sweet on the nose with a touch of background malt. On the palate quite a malty taste - but not OTT, something grainy or biscuity in there, a little hopping and a bitter finish. Adequate body for the ABV and beer style, fairly thin but OK.

Dark brown, off white head, good lacing, ruby light through edges of glass
Aroma - roasted malts, light coffee, chocolate, dark malts
Taste as aroma, more coffee now, some bitter roasted malts, good flavour
Palate - soft carb. medium bosy. Smooth and silky due to the oats. FInish of roasted coffee and chocolate.
Overall - Quite a good stout with a nice smooth texture

Cask (gravity) @ The 17th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2011, Reading, Berkshire England.Light light unclear light to medium yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, light hoppy, hop water. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, hop oil, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20110430]

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, candy, light hoppy, citrus, fruity, butter and butterscotch notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, hoppy, candy, peel bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110430]

Cask-conditioned at the Gryphon, Bristol 26/04/2012. Reddish copper with a slight, off-white head. Fruity aroma with some leafy hops and touch of caramel. Flavour had more fruit, cereal malts and a decent, bitter finish. Fine.

Cask gravity at Bexley 7th BF. Black wiyh very dark brown edges. Lasting beige head. Fruity toasty aroma. Fruity toasty dry finish. Now that is good. Great condition. Now that is a good dark beer.
