Aroma of malt, caramel, tropical fruit notes, lots of pine resin, mild floral notes, hops. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a bitter finish. Nice body, bit sticky mouthfeel. Name is well-chosen, it does have a ’rustic’ kind of aroma.

Aroma of roasted malt, some chocolate, coffee, smokey chipotle. Flavour is medium sweet with a light coffee bitter finish. A little peppery heat on the tongue. Body is fairly medium. A bit on the subtle side, but smooth and very enjoayble.

Bottle at home. Aroma of citrus, orange, biscuity malt, hint of honey, hops. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a light bitter finish. Easy drink and pleasant, but a bit restrained.

Bottle from Sterk Amsterdam. Aroma is sweet banana, ripe fruits, wheaty malt, notes of bubble gum, yeast, and clove, with a touch of citrus. Flavour is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Body is medium. Not a bad Hefe, though a bit on the sweet side.

Bottle from Sterk Amsterdam. Aroma is very herbal with lots of sage, chamomile, floral notes, more herbs and spices, honey, pale malt, a herbal garden's worth of herbs. Flavour is rather sweet. Body is medium. Way too heavy on the herbs and sweetness for my taste. Not easy to drink.

On tap at LAX. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has slightly dank citrus with light bread and grass notes supporting. Flavor has dank citrus and grains with grass and a bit of hay coming through.

Bottled (from Ales by Mail). Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is wheat, some citrus, mild spiciness as well as some banana to it. Flavour is wheat, banana, some citrus, mild spices as well as some slight toffee. Smooth, but has a bit edgy crisp malts to it.
