Bottle shared thanks to RandomStrangerNL. Dark brown with a short lived tan head. Aroma of coffee, light smoke, fruity chilli notes, dark chocolate, malt and caramel. Flavour is above moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with a disturbing high carbonation and developing chilli warmth.

Draft at the brewery taproom. Noted at 6% abv. Pours clearish yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds tropical fruits, pithy citrus, spicy pine needles, a little perfume. Medium sweet flavour with lots of pithy citrus, grapefruit, tangerine, pine needles, honeysuckle, pale bread. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish, with fairly clean pale malt sugars, some further grapefruit and lightly bitter pine needles. Very drinkable. Solid.

Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours deep brown with a creamy, beige head. The nose holds dry chocolate, roast, burnt wood and cool mint. Medium sweet flavour with mild dark chocolate character, scorched earth, mint leaf. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Good balance on the finish, with nice mint integration, more mint leaves, dark chocolate and mellow earthy bitterness. Good stuff.

12oz bottle in the sun on 23rd May 2016, poured into a Corsendonk badged tulip glass on my daughters patio in Southern California, about 20 miles from the brewery. Cloudy orange/amber bodied, creamy coloured head. Banana aroma and taste with a yeasty and slightly orange undertone. Nice and refreshing, one of the best ’American Hefeweizen’ I have had.
