Canned 28/3. Just unclear amber with a loose white head. Slightly shy aroma of kumquat, passionfruit, sticky bread crust, oozy pine. Just medium bodied. Enough breadcrust to support citrus, subtle tropical fruit and creeping pine. Firm bitterness. They've made good IPAs before but not with such finesse.

Pours dark brown with a large fading head.Nose shows raisins, toffee, bready and toasty malt. Enticing!Flavours include more bready and toasty malt, the faintest bit of roast and coffee, followed by a bit of burnt caramel sweetness.Body feels a little watery.

Can. Pale gold with a good inch of white head. Lean white grapey aroma with light spices, crackers. A bit more body than suggested by the aroma with a touch of breadcrust richness before grapes, some citrus and spicy oak at the bitter finish. Guessed this would be like a Kiwi pils but not really. Original and good.

Can. Pretty much opaque yellowish orange. A white head is gone in moments. Aroma of lemon, mandarin, peach, pineapple, coconut, herbs. Sweetish and quite tropical, with citrus fading into the background. Some hard spice/ bark at the end - which is low (but not no) bitterness.

Can. Amber with a brief coat of beige head. Aroma of bread, caramel, pine, weeds. A bit of a boiled blackcurrant lolly taste to the sweetness. Pine and some weeds towards the bluntly bitter end. A fair throwback.

Can. Deep amber with a 1/2cm cream head that fades. 3+ Subdued breadcrust aroma with some cream toffee, spices, hints of citrus. Strong bready malt with some toffee but very clean and not that sweet. The hop aromatics of the original are not so prominent but there are hints of tropical fruit. But more spices and fairly insistent bitterness. Good.

From a 440ml can on 27/7/2023. Pours a deep dark brown with no discernible head. Has a pleasant rich chocolate and cakey nose. Tastes quite intense and very sweet as you expect. Lots of milk chocolate and vanilla, and hints of marshmallow. Finishes with a sharpish bitterness and a boozy kick, as you'd expect from a 12 per center. The body's not as full as I was expecting for something this size, with the palate more oily than creamy. The carbonation is moderate. Quite straight forward but still a nicely done big pastry brew.

Can. Opaque orange with a small white head. Rambunctious tropical fruit aroma with some pine and herbal notes. Vibrant juicy/ pithy taste with vague crackery malt behind. Tails off a little as there is little astringency and low bitterness. Pretty good.

A solid IPA with a nice malt backbone. Aromas of lemon, pine, biscuit and caramel. Lots of bitter citrus in the mouth. It's very dry finish.
