Caretaker of Vermont Craft

Take a Hike!®

Inspired by the 273-mile hiking trail that traverses through the Green Mountains, Long Trail Brewing Company has been a caretaker of Vermont craft since 1989. Moved and motivated by the local culture and surroundings, we work hard to create beers worthy of our Vermont roots. From small batch recipes developed in our farmhouse-turned-pilot-brewery to wider ranging staples like our flagship Long Trail Ale and freshly formulated Trail Hopper IPA, our brewers are committed to crafting a trail-worthy family of beers.

Pours reddish with a thick white head. Heavy aroma of malt. Taste of light wheat. Simple palate, light and crisp mouthfeel. Typical elements of a German wheat beer, very drinkable. Some spice on the palate, interesting taste to it.

Can in VT. Pours clear orange-gold with a frothy, white head. Nice hop-malt balance, some sun-kissed pale malts, restrained piney bitterness, soft orange notes. Light bodied with average carbonation. Balanced finish, touches of resin, supportive pale malts. Nice to have a hoppy beer that's not an opaque juice bomb.

Pours amber with a nice white head. Aroma of hops and citrus. Tastes like a typical Long Trail IPA, heavy hops and and citrus characterize the taste. The palate includes citrus, tropical fruit and a heavy hops aftertaste. Well crafted and drinkable but nothing too unique.
