Inspired by the 273-mile hiking trail that traverses through the Green Mountains, Long Trail Brewing Company has been a caretaker of Vermont craft since 1989. Moved and motivated by the local culture and surroundings, we work hard to create beers worthy of our Vermont roots. From small batch recipes developed in our farmhouse-turned-pilot-brewery to wider ranging staples like our flagship Long Trail Ale and freshly formulated Trail Hopper IPA, our brewers are committed to crafting a trail-worthy family of beers.

Pours flat golden. Immediate artificial apple scent. Taste has plain malt, grain, green apple flavoring. Palate has some more flat malt, slightly acerbic. Not good.

Fall 2023 Survival 12-pack from Vermont trip. Clean, light golden colour with a frothy white cap, good stay and some foamy lacing. Big apple aromas, fruity and sweet. The apples come out very well in the taste, but not as strong. Milder with the mouthfeel being on the thin side, not syrupy at all and the finish drying enough. The wheat is not as present, so not too sweet. A good apple, juicy brew.

6.7%. Nice intense nose of pumpkin spice. The beer starts malty with hints of dry spices in the back. Very dry, deep malty, grainy. Fruity pumpkin above the heavy body. Nice deep, rich and spicy.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. White head with good retention recedes to mottle surface. Pine aromas. Medium bodied with dark caramel, dried earth and pine front to back. Lasting dusty sour earth finish.

355ml bottle from Stop & Shop, Quincy. Drunk at our apartment in Dennis Port, Cape Cod. Pours a hazed golden orange, good foamy white head. Aroma of pine, sweet malt, orange. Continues to taste, quite bitter for an NEIPA.. some grapefruit and mild pulp. Ok overall but a touch disjointed.

Part of a 12-pack IPA sampler. Hazed, light golden-yellow colour with a big fluffy-bubbly white head, decent stay and leaving some foamy spots of lacing. Herbal fresh hop aromas over a touch of citrus and oats. The taste is where it shows a lighter IPA at 3.8% ABV with some decent citrus notes. It just does not have the full mouthfeel. A nice easy-going, refreshing light IPA.

Can from their 12-pack sampler, pouring a fairly clean, with only some real tiny transparent particles, golden colour. The head is big, frothy, white, long lasting with some good foamy lacing streaks. Mild herbal nose with a touch of pine notes. Looks like a touch of oats, or vanilla softens the scent. The mouthfeel is smooth, silky with some building dryness in the finish. Citrus zest lingers. Gets a little hazy near the last pour. More like a West Coast APA than IPA, so drinkable.
