Description
Founded in 2012, we are the UK’s most northerly and remote brewery, based on the island of Shetland.
We are as much Scottish as we are Nordic which gives us our unique outlook on life, and it is reflected in the beers we brew.
We believe beer shouldn’t have boundaries. From lagers, to IPAs to oatmeal stouts, we have something for everyone. We brew beers that we love to drink, and we hope you enjoy them too!

330ml bottle. Pours black with a thin tan head that quickly disappeared. Faint aroma of sweet, dark chocolate. Watery, with coffee and dark chocolate to taste. Not terrible, but not great either

Bottle from Deeside Drinks Emporium. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The nose is earthy, peach, apricot, sherbet, candied peel and light florals. The taste is crisp, dull bitterness, grain, bread, toast and light spice with a dry finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. A bit watery and weak unfortunately.....

33cl bottle sample thanks to Alison. Appearance - dark amber with a decent head. Nose - gentle toffee and biscuit but the overwhelming aroma is of malt. Taste - again, pale malt dominates the toffee and malt flavours which are not coming through strongly enough. Palate - light to medium bodied with a thin texture and it finishes off a bit flat. Overall - it kind of hinted at a Bitter but it didn’t really deliver it in full.

Shared bottle at local tasting. Golden colour, moderate white head. Unpleasant aroma of acetone and industrial waste. Sweet flavour, a hint of fruit, no bitterness. This must be the most miserable British beer I’ve had so far.

Rerate 16.05.18 on board Baluba in Kirkwall. Clear pale golden. Small and diminishing head. Underwhelming aroma of pilsner malt, hops and old wet grass. Taste is better, with fine hops, pilsner malt, meadows and succade. Low bitterness. 05.09.18: Clear golden. Unfresh aroma of old hay, barn, nail varnish remover and furniture polish. Taste is not much better. Hints of caramel sweetness. Furniture polish throughout. Absolutely crap! [1/3/2/2/2=1,0]

330ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Cautious caramel malty aroma, a touch of husk, floral hoppy overtones. Taste is initially floral hoppy with husky, malty basis, later dry with a nuttily touch, hints of nut parings.
