Description
Founded in 2012, we are the UK’s most northerly and remote brewery, based on the island of Shetland.

We are as much Scottish as we are Nordic which gives us our unique outlook on life, and it is reflected in the beers we brew.

We believe beer shouldn’t have boundaries. From lagers, to IPAs to oatmeal stouts, we have something for everyone. We brew beers that we love to drink, and we hope you enjoy them too!

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with small to average, thick, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grassy hoppy aroma, hints of straw. Taste is minimally sweet pale malty, slightly straw, grassy and floral hoppy overtones, a touch of lemon. Versatile - tantamount to characterless.

Bottle shared at the "Lets celebrate the fact that Dean is already the Mayor of M&S Den Haag even though it’s only been open for 24 hours tasting!". Pours hazy golden brown with an off white head. Aroma of caramel and butter. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. Too buttery.

Bottle at the "Lets celebrate the fact that Dean is already the Mayor of M&S Den Haag even though it’s only been open for 24 hours tasting!". Poured a hazy light amber with a round bubbly white head. The aroma is strange marzipan hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a watery weak woody hop palate and a strange bitter aftertaste. Medium bodied with flat carbonation.

33cl bottle from Provenance Wines. Appearance - golden to amber with a decent head. Nose - rice crispies and some honey. Taste - more honeyed cereal with a little bit of lemon zip on the end. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a dry refreshing finish. Overall - a decent pils.

Bottle from Provenance Wines. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Light lacing. Crisp aroma of lemon, grain and earth. Flavour has similar qualities, with a nice bitterness. Thin body with an oily mouthfeel. Light fizz. A clean, crisp Pilsner - very nice.

330ml bottle from a holidaying friend. Pours hazy orange gold, very big white head, a touch over-carbonated maybe.... Aromas of fresh orange, light spice and light bready malts. Taste has a good balance, erring towards the orange bitterness of the hops, would have liked a bit more biscuit sweetness. Otherwise a solid beer.

330ml bottle brought back by a holidaying friend. Pours hazy gold with a good white head. Aromas are green grass, doughy malt and spicy noble hops. Taste has a light bitterness and decent balancing sweetness, more of that grassy flavour comes through as it goes down. A decent, bottle-conditioned, British Pilsener.
