Description
Blue Moon is known for its Belgian-Style Wheat Ale which was created in 1995 by Keith Villa, a brewer at the Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field, Denver. It was originally brewed in the Coors brewery in Golden, Colorado. In the summer of 2016 a new state-of-the-art brewery was opened in Denver’s RiNo District. Since then we have been brewing fan favorites (old and new), and experimenting with new and unique ingredients on our pilot brewing system.

Bottle. Floral/soapy apricot, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with large white head. Mildly sweet apricot, wheat malt, and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. Light body. Okay - at least it's not a sugar bomb. --- Beer merged from original tick of Blue Moon Pacific Apricot Wheat on 29 Dec 2017 at 20:09 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 4 | Flavor - 4 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 3.5. From Sept 2008

This pours a clear reddish gold with a 2 finger head of foam. Good head retention and some lacing.

The smell smells slightly spicy, slightly malty. Not much going on.

The taste is light but does at least have some character. Light spices, maybe some nutmeg other, are up front with really light pumpkin flavour and some sweet malt. It finishes slightly bitterish. Not bad.

The mouthfeel is light close to medium but there's a harshness on my tongue that I'm not very fond of...

Overall, worth visiting once for me but I won't buy it again.

bottle, rated in spring 2017 - Dark brown pour. The mild aroma has roast malt, coffee, and cocoa. Sweet flavor. Malty. Coffee. I noted is not terribly "stouty". I mean it's okay and inoffensive, but it's on the thin and kind of bland side.

Leftover bottle from the family Thanksgiving dinner. Sure, why not. Yes, there's a mango smell under the cap. Mango is probably hard to make too strong, so that's a plus. Beer is cloudy, more of an apricot color, with a foamy head. Going to have to admit it's pretty pleasant at the first few sips. But there's something of a "fruit puree" quality to it, that maybe can't be helped. But worth a try.

Bottle shared by AdamC on 7/29/17.
Lightly hazed, blonde-peach body has a smattering of off-white head atop showing low retention.
Seltzer, biscuit, orange peel and more mineral water lead to a finish that has stale caramel and cereal-like wheat.
Watery, with tons of cereal and biscuit-like wheat, vague citrus, fair amount of sugar and lots of seltzer-like character. Pepper and a touch more honey on the end.

Bottle, small quickly dissapearing bubbly creamy head, light hazy very deep orange color, light spicy melange aroma with hints of smoked wood and pumpkin, flavor of spices with some yeastiness and hint of pumpkin, and biscuity malt behind, carbonation just a bit agressive. Nice and enjoyable.

Bottle. Mango, pear, malt, and light straw aroma. Hazy golden yellow with large white head. Moderately sweet mango, wheat malt, and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. Very light body. Not as sweet as it smells - flavor actually kind of bland. --- Beer merged from original tick of Blue Moon Mango Wheat on 18 Nov 2017 at 21:23 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 4 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 4. 33cl bottle. Pours hazy gold with persistent white foam, very fine. Aroma is orange peel and spices. Body is light with moderate carbonation. Taste is generally sweet, with a tart feeling, mostly giving an industrial, artificial flavour. Finish is average, again light.

bottle, old rating - Amber pour, it smells peachy of course. It tastes lightly sweet with apparent if not strong peach flavor, grainy malt, maybe some wheat, and some spice. Light bodied. Nothing to get excited about, but it's okay.
