On tap @Zeppelin Pub (Campobasso). Bruna intensa, schiuma ecrù media, discretamente persistente. Al naso note di zucchero di canna, caramello, leggero tostato. In bocca è dolce, maltata, con spunto amaro leggero a bilanciare. Corpo leggero, carbonazione leggera. Gradevole.

330ml bottle. Fantastic, chestnut colour with dark ruby shimmer and average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Dark malty, minimally musty, grainy aroma, hints of malt lozenge, a touch of chocolate, whiffs of alcohol and toasted nuts, alcohol-soaked plum. Taste is dark malty and minimally alcoholic, hints of dark chocolate, malt lozenge, toasted nuts, a touch of alcohol-soaked plum; bitter, slightly alcoholic finish. Slightly creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Quite alcoholic, some off-flavours - so-so.

Drank on 13th October 2021 Mommsen-Eck Charlottenburg - Haus der 100 Biere, it's one of their regular 15 draught beers. Mini haze to the golden pour, huge white head. The nose and taste are grainy, grassy and slightly citrussy in nature. Pleasant enough and I am pleased I've tried it, don't normally get many new rates in here, must have missed it on my previous visits!

Half-litre on tap outside Café am Neuen See (Berlin), as König Ludwig Hell; 11th October 2021. Clean and clear golden yellow body, white head. Slight malt aroma and taste, hops for a bit of balance, easy drinking but nothing exciting or interesting to report. Just another Helles that is refreshing and thirst quenching, idea after wandering around the Tiergarten for an hour or so.

Half-litre on tap outside Café am Neuen See (Berlin) on 11th October 2021. Clean and clear golden body, snow white head. Wheat like aroma and taste. I like Crystal Weissbier and I thought this one was fine. Light banana esters and flavours appear as it warms a little. Liked it.
