@home poured into a footed pilsner glass. Brilliant copper colour, good frothy beige head, slowly dissipating, fair lacing. Aroma roasted malt, faint smoke, caramel, earthy notes, iron notes. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, caramel, dark syrup, sugary notes, earthy notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, lingering earthy notes, very nice down to earth bock.

Bottle. Cloudy pale orange feat. a lovely big white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast with hints of lemons. Taste of dough, wheat, yeast, lemons and dextrose. Sweet but isotonic. Thin, flat and anaemic. Strong carbonation. Oh well.

As König Ludwig Weissbier Hell Bottle, 0.5l. Murky orange/copper pour, one finger frothy white head, medium lasting. Nice lacing on the glass as it goes down. Ok on the nose, somewhat sweet, ripe fruits and wet grass. Caramel malt in the background. Light to medium body, lively carbonation. Average mouthfeel and texture, refreshingly fizzy, somewhat watery. Taste is more on the sweet side with subtle sour notes to balance it out. Aroma of wheat, wet grass, caramel malt. Ripe fruits, bread, some earthy mineral notes. Yeast. Lingering spiciness. Short lasting finish, lingering banana notes. Solid.

Bottle, online from Hereford Beer House. Pours clear golden with a tight white head. Aroma: sweet-ish grains, bready malts, light herbal hops. Taste: light to moderate sweet & light bitter, grains, bready malts, mineral hints, herbal hops. Light to medium body with tight carbonation. A fair bit better than the average rating on here

500ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey golden colour with huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Wheaty malty and slightly doughy, yeasty aroma, fruity yeasty hints of apple, a touch of banana, leafy overtones. Taste is slightly dry leafy, bready, wheaty malty, hints of white bread, very cautious, diluted hints of apple. Watery texture, dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Not as doughy as many others, but almost no fruitiness as well; thirst quenching like mineral water - so-so.

500 ml bottle at Augustiner Keller, Munich. Cloudy orange, foamy head. Sourdough, lemon, hints of vanilla. Light sourness. Light bodied, watery texture, lively carbonated, dry sour finish. Lack in this typical NA sweetness which is a bonus, decent NA Weiße.

Rating Nr. 100 - ein kleines Jubiläum also... Optisch schön goldgelb und klar. Dazu eine weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone, die sich flaumig-stabil und ganz gut haltbar zeigt. In der Nase leicht süßlich, getreidig und brotig malzig. Der Antrunk kommt überaus rezent und frisch und bringt bereits eine leichte typisch bayerische Süße mit. Am Gaumen ebenso ganz typisch, leicht süßlich-malzig, getreidig, einer angenehmen Würze und leichten, grasigen, heuigen, eventuell kräuterartigen Hopfennoten. Ein ganz gutes Gesamtpaket wie ich meine. Vor allem ein durchaus rundes und harmonisches Gesamtpaket mit einer guten Vollmundigkeit, der eine ganz gute Süffigkeit zur Folge hat. Im Vergleich zu anderen bayerischen Hellen, ist dieses Bier nicht ganz so süß, aber deswegen nicht schlechter. Im Abgang spielen die süßlicheren malzigen Aromen nochmal gut auf und weichen erst relativ spät den herberen Hopfennoten, die ein sehr gut würziges und kräuterartiges Finale bereiten.
