On tap at German American Club Oktoberfest in Hamilton, NJ. Hazy yellow gold color. Creamy white head. Bready, wheat malt aroma. Sweet yeasty malt notes throughout. Nicely done.

Keg @ Admiral Benbow Beer Invasion 2024. Misty yellow appearance, overly large white head that grows out the glass. Grainy malt nose. Flavour profile doesn't sing the weissbier hymn as prominently as others, it's a little fruity at times, grainy even, pleasant but lacks character.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orange, dark golden to amber colour with average, fluffy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Yeasty fruity and yeasty spicy aroma, sweet-ish, wheaty malty basis, notes of banana and clove, a touch of honey, pear, white pepper, nutmeg. Taste is sweet-ish, wheaty malty, yeasty fruity, minimally yeasty spicy and mildly bitter hoppy, notes of banana, hints of pear, clove, honey, a touch of nutmeg and cinnamon, apple parings; minimally metallic hoppiness. Slightly creamy, watery texture, smooth, simultaneously rather dry palate, medium to fine, dense, prickly carbonation. Nice composition, relatively clean, nice spicy subtleties, not that banana dominated; not the most complex brew, would be even better off with just a bit more intensity - pretty good, classic Weizenbock.

Keg draught at Tønne, Leicester as König Ludwig Weissbeir Hell. Brownish gold, a little hazy with a small ring of white head. Big notes of overripe banana in the aroma, along with some chewy bready malt. Taste is a little too sweet for my liking but by no means saccharine. Caramel and banana on the tongue. Short-ish finish. Body's way too light with not much carbonation to buoy it up. A decent but not great hefe.
