Banana, orange, clove, caramel, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Cloudy dark amber with moderate tan head. Moderately sweet banana, orange, caramel wheat malt and mildly bitter straw flavor. Okay body.

Bottle from Great Grog. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of wet grain and grassy hops. Taste is white sugar, cereal, grassy hops again. Light sweet finish.

330ml bottle. Opalescent, orange golden colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, diminishing, moderately lacing, snow white head. Doughy yeasty and slightly bready-spicy, wheaty malty aroma, minimally leafy, hoppy overtones, a touch of old lemon tea. Taste is watery, minimally bready, wheaty malty, minimally doughy yeasty, diluted hints of white bread crust, a touch of brioche, leafy hoppy overtones.
Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft, mildly prickly carbonation.
Expressionless, fairly drinkable - so-so.

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso è indirizzato verso l'orzo. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale e l'esistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Il colore è giallo dorato brillante. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è contenuto. La forza gustativa è normale e permane in maniera sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, cracker, pane, erbaceo ed agrumi.

Tap at Zenith. In a plastic thingy so no idea what it looks like. Old grass. Sweet, a bit sticky and heavy with a sliiiiight sour note that shouldn't be there.

"Meckatzer Fest-Märzen", Flasche von Grabsch, Lichterfelde. - Helles Kupfergold, klar; schöner Schaum. - In der Nase blasses Toastmalz, sauber gerstig, und milde hopfenwürzig-orangenfruchtige Hopfung. - Antrunk etwas hart gerstig und nur leise toastmalzig. Blasse Restsüße mit einem Hauch von Honig. Feine aber etwas zu unauffällige herbale Hopfung (das Etikett spricht von Tettnanger Aromahopfen). Durchschnittlich rezent, für ein Märzen wenig vollmundig. - Gediegenes aber ein wenig blasses Märzen. Etwas weniger schwäbische Sparsamkeit hätte hier gutgetan. (4.2.2025.)
