Welcome to Cardigan Brewery, a union of Penlon Beers & Innkeeper Wales, creating great Welsh beers that can be enjoyed at home, from a range of great shops across the land, or at the pub, including our very own Teifi Waterside Hotel or Brynhoffnant Inn.
Started brewing in October 2004 initially as Penlon Cottage Brewery. It is a small scale operation which brews are range of bottle conditions beers. It was initially based near Pencae moving to its location in 2015. In 2020 they merged with Innkeeper Wales and changed to the current name although Penlon Cottage Brewery is still used.

Old rating - A 500ml bottle brought in St David's this April. Pours a near black with a creme head. Aromas of coffee & toasted malt. Tastes is coffee, roasted malts & hints of smoke. Medium bodied. A decent & enjoyable stout.

Old rating - A 500ml bottle from St David's Food & Wine, St David's, on my trip to West Wales last spring. Pours a bright hazy amber with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of citrus & herbs. Low carbonation. Mild bitter finish. Average bitter.

8/1/2025. Bottle from Londis near Y Bryn a'r Bragdy, Brynhoffnant. Pours clear dark amber brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is earthy, malty, fruit cake, dried fruits, twiggy, berries. Started quite sweet, with developing bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation.

Cask, third pint. @Nottingham Beer Festival 2024, Nottingham (England). 12/10/2024 [#7.953 Global - #66 Wales - #1 Bragdy Teifi (My Welsh brewery #34)] Pours dark golden with a white head. Aroma: floral hops and bread malts. Taste: yeasty and floral. Light bodied. Next one, please!
