Bottle. Raspberry and sour malt aroma. Cranberry red color - slightly cloudy. Sweet raspberry evenly mixed with sour malt - less intensely sweet that the waldmeister version. Nicely blended and enjoyable.

Bottle. Strong woodruff aroma (to me smells like marshmallow and pistachio). Light green color - little head. Strong sweet-tart woodruff flavor. Incredibly sweet - basically exactly what you would get in Berlin if they mixed it there.

(Bottle 33 cl) To drink pure Berliner Weisse is not quite as extreme as drinking Gueuze - but it comes close. It is a strange brew indeed. Oddly, pale hazy with an almost absent absent head. "Prickly and tart" the back-label claims which is very close to the point. Weird lactic taste and no real sense of malt or hops. I don’t believe this ever becomes a favourite of mine. 140100

(Bottle 50 cl) Yet another brew from the enterprising "Beliner Bürgerbräu". Dark golden, very limited head. Almost no nose. Typical notes of caramel-malt and some slightly roasted touches. Some sweetness well balanced by a late hoppiness. Very harmonious and delicate bock-beer. 191099

(Bottle 50 cl) I knew nothing of this style of beer, but according to the back label it’s a beer from "the golden 20’s". Golden beer with a slight reddish hue. The head is almost absent. Rather alcoholic and bitter. No real pleasure. 121099

(Bottle 50 cl9 Yet another beer from the richly varied Berliner Kindl brewery. Beautiful straw-golden colour and a magnificent head that refuses to stay in the bottle. Very soft, slightly sweet and less bitter than the average German pilsener. Different and pleasant. 101099
