If you are a lover of hand-crafted real ales, then you should check out Alechemy Brewing. Our Edinburgh brewery is a small family run business that aims to provide a true alternative to the proliferation of mass produced and marketed beers. As an independent brewer, we are free to create a range of occasional speciality beers that compliment our core range of bottled and cask ales. We produce beers of all styles, so there is bound to be something in our range to please even the most experienced connoisseur.

Cask gravity at Firkin Alehouse Folkestone. Clear gold lasting white head. Light carbonation some good fleshy sharp grapefruit flavour. Decent if a little flat.

Bottle from Morrisons in Glasgow. An amber lager, with plenty of maltiness upfront, a honeyed sweetness and a finish that was pleaantly bitter. Almost Lagerbier-like, and enjoyable.

Cask at the Picadilly tap Manchester a hazed golden orange coloured pour sticky white head. Aroma is sweet honey. Monster cereal light caramel, grassy hop. Flavour is composed of spicy hop, grassy semi sweet toffee, Lingering earthy citrus,. Palate medium sweet, sweaty malts, grassy, hop, midget, gems, rounded finish. Lingering green berry and hedgerow hop. Ok.

Keg @ Drink? Hebden Bridge. Amber-orange with a thin head. Has some light activity in the palate. It’s initially fruity, leading to a dry hoppy aftertaste.

Cask at Winstons. Pours crystal clear yellow gold with a thin white head. Nice lacing. Aromas of doughy malt and lemon, faint tropical fruit. Taste is light sweet, biscuit, lemon meringue. Clean finish. Full bodied for the strength. Bob on.
