Keg at BD Castlegate. It pours hazy golden - orange with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, zingy, vibrant, lovely tangy citrus, lemony, yuzu, tangelo, yuzu sake, bready and biscuity malt. The taste is crisp, dry, puckering tartness, bitter - sweet, slightly lactic, pithy, zesty, tangy, bright yuzu character, lemony sherbet, sherbet dib dab, touch green, dank almost and some bread & biscuit in the malt base with a drying, pithy finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy white carbonation. Very well done. Flavourful and balanced.

Bottle from Aldi, waxed for some reason. It pliyes darkest brown with a fluffy khaki head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, nutty, toasted grain, cacao nibs/dark chocolate, touch of pipe tobacco, dull smokey charred malt and toasted fruit cake. The taste is initially dry and toasty, some decent bitterness, charred oak, light tannin, ashy, toothy, peppery spice, bitter - sweet character, pipe tobacco, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, plum, touch vinous almost, umami and something slightly fragrant/soapy in the mix. Finish has some charred bitterness with a nip of booze. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Plenty of depth to it anyhow. Doesn't quite hit the high notes of the other version, but this is quite a unique offering.

Bottle thanks to Roddy. Appearance - murky lemon yellow with a snow white head. Nose - lemon, tangerine and pungent tropical. Taste - blood orange, pink grapefruit and guava lurking there for sure. Palate - light bodied, zesty middle and finish. Overall - quite nice.
