33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Albert Heijn Culemborg. Clear dark golden with a white head. Malty aroma with some sweetness. Taste is low bitter with some earth notes. More of an English IPA than an US one. Beer is a bit flat which fits the English profile. Nice enough but don’t expect a hopbomb.

Clear medium amber colour, small frothy off-white head, receding slowly, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malts, corn, fruity (applish), cooked vegetables. Flavour medium sweet and light bitter, corny, plain and cardboard, especially in the light bitter finish, dusty and paper notes. Not satisfying as a pale ale, it’s more like a pale lager.

Dark golden colour. There’s a fresh herbal, almost minty taste to this. Otherwise it’s like a slightly hoppy, slightly more bitter lager. Lacks some punch.

Bottle at home. Clear amber with thin white head. Sweet caramel malts, some dusty bitterness, old nuts, hint of oranges. Under medium sweet with medium bitterness. Quite heavy bodied for the style, feels fat and thick. Medium carbonation, stale leathery finish. English bitter, speckled hen kind. Bottle at home, from AH. Clear golden ale with white head. Oof! Stale ol’ dead pilsener, something’s rotting in the state of Denmark! This dusty old dust is a-gettin’ my home, and I got to be driftin’ along. Some rice krispie / manna, weak dusty sweetness. Below medium sweet. Disgusting finish, onions and whipped cream. Wtf peeps? Body is medium and the mouthfeel is quite fat, but the finish is very dry and unpleasant. Not my cup of tea, sad waste of moneys. Bottle from Albert Heijn at home. Clear golden with relatively short lasting white head. Dried fruits, peach, caramel, toffee, artificial sweetener, red apple, tea, light grassy. Medium sweet with again this artificial sweetener touch and light bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Quite nice surprise, fruity and sweet and very drinkable. Better than the ratings made me expect though not great.

330 ml. bottle sampled @ home. Purchased at Albert Heijn. BBF 12-11-16. Near clear bright amber, orange hue, off-white faintly tanned milky head. Nose is this weird massive sweetness, cauliflower, stevia, white sugar, vanilla corn, bit sickening (I am completely disregarding the intended style here). Taste is this sweet plastic, vanillin, corn, cauliflower, sickening cardboard, toffee, paper, chemical bitterness, herbs, stevia,… Weird massively oily, vegetable oil body. Wow this one is a real train wreck, easily one of the worst IPA’s I have ever had, this profile is just not enjoyable, this weird sickening sweet flavors, yikes. What possessed Albert Heijn to even taken this beer?

330 ml. bottle sampled @ home. Purchased at Albert Heijn. BBF26-11-16. Clear sparkling bright golden amber, little off-white head. Nose is almost akin to a pale lager, massively oily, big vegetable oil, insecticide, cardboard, cooked vegetables. Taste is sweet oily very sweet vegetable oil apple, artificial corn, stevia, plant sweet, cardboard,… Taste is ever so slightly a bit further removed from a plae lager than the smell, weird artificial apple sugar stevia covers it a bit but still big vegetable oil, cardboard,… Oily thin, cardboard, dust,…. A very minor step up from a pale lager, very close, comfortable for pale lager drinkers both quite worthless for others.
