33dcl bottle from The Beer Tree. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of peach, light peppery, grain, floral malts. Flavour is sweet, malty, fruity, mainly peach, light grainy, light-bitter finish. Light bodied. Ok-ish. Nothing off but very boring.

Bottle from Cottier’s. Clear amber body with a medium off-white head. Low carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of grain and honey. Flavour of cardboard, orange and cereal. Medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. Not great - barely a trace of hops.

Bottle at Shakespeare Tavern, Auckland, August 2014. A bit hazy amber with a medium white head. Not as hoppy as expected. Caramel, some grapefruit and light malt. Medium bitterness.

Sweet apple with a light tart aroma. Medium to thin body with loads of carbonation. Flavor is sweet apples in the beginning, a very brief tart note, and then a sugary sweet apple finish. Active carbonation all the way through. Easy to drink a couple of these but then they get too sweet for me. Nice cider, though.

35 cl bottle from Wellcome in Hong Kong, 4%. Light brown color, clear, small fine offwhite head, mineral and spicy nose. Aroma is brown sugar, some fruity overtones with leaves. Taste is flat, some sweetness and a subtle bitterness. Carbonated, light bodied, dusty texture, uncertain finish with a caramel leftover.

Pours a very pale golden color, topped with average white head that settles down quickly. Malty aroma, some sweet fruits and spices. The taste is sweet, slight soury feel, no real bitterness. Not the best one, really.

33cl bottle from Viking Line/Gabriella. Bb 07/14. Clear dark golden, thick white head. Herbal, leafy, some citrusy hops in aroma. Flavor is mainly malty, herbal, lagery grainy almost. Some distant hops. Thin, bitter short finish. 1,40€ /bottle,I have had worse beer much more expensive than this.

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, ruby brown colour with a beige and short foamy head. Dark malty, slightly roasty aroma with notes of caramel, also hints of chocolate and anise. Moderately sweet and slightly roasty bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Earthy dark malt character with roasty notes, caramel and a tinge of chocolate and a very subtle dried fruity touch; sweet and mildly roasty bitter finish with lasting notes of caramel and a whiff of chocolate. Likeable as it is not too fat and not too sweet. 02.VI.14
