Spelled "Painfull Death" - poured an almost pitch black color with a dark color with a tan head. Aroma was roasted malts. Bitter chocolate.

Bottle from De Molen Store, shared with weasel keneivel. Great looking bottle/label. Poured a very murky brownish colour with a shy yet lingering off white head. Nose of cheesy hop, caramel malts, fruits and booze. Very gentle carbonation. Similar themes unfolded in the sweet flavour with notes of spice and yeast. Not quite how I imagined it was going to taste but plenty of quality on offer here. Nice one.

75cl Bottle from De Molen shop. Thought this would be appropriate for the Eurovision Songfestival. ABV is 11.2%. Black colour, thin brown head. Aroma of liquorice, some hops, ash, hard-roasted malts, molasses, chocolate. Flavour is thick, sweet, syrupy, molasses, roasted malts, earthy, liquorice, chocolate, hops, firm earthy bitter finish. Full-bodied, very thick, viscous. Good stuff. This, and Death on my headphones, helped me sit through the agony of having to watch the Eurovision.

Rötlichbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig süß, fruchtig, Karamell, alkoholisch. Geschmack sehr süß, röstmalzig, malzig fruchtig, den Alkohol merkt man deutlich.

750ml bottle [11.2% abv, bottle #23]. Minimally ruby red glowing, black colour with late awakening, small, creamy, fairly lasting, superbly lacing, tan head. Roasty dark malty aroma, notes of leather, oak, liquorice, a touch of smoke. Taste is bone dry dark malty, salty, notes of liquorice, oak, leather, soy sauce. Very soft, thick, oily palate, lasting dry, salty finish. Not what one would call flattering or simply accessible in taste, but a really sophisticated, immensely dry Impy Stout.

Thanks to MrHangover for this bottle! Bottle number 32, April 18, 2013 bottling. Pours opaque black with a tiny tan secondary head and some lacing. Aroma is super duper roasty, ashtray, not much else. Flavor is burned malts, tobacco, lightly sweet and very bitter. Fills out in flavor profile a bit as it warms. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Interesting.

bottle ( no 265) at home pours very dqrk yellow to brown smell is those typical ’sugary’ hops low carbo . malty with a very heavy backbone . kinda reminds at shark pants, but less extreme bitter . goddamn, i underestimated the goodness of this one ! very nice aromatic hoppyness, bitter backbone but the malts keep being very prominent .. awsome ! best new-to-me-IIPA in a LONG time . glad that i have a bottle for my own

Keg@CBC2013 Opaque black color, steady brown head. Roasted, alcholic , coffeish aroma. Full-bodied. Wood, licorice, loads of alcohol. Eisbock on drugs. Very alcohol, burning, same time something what you want to drink.

Keg@CBC2013 Hazy brown color, small off-white head. Wood and green apple in the nose. Full-bodied. Very sweet, apple and wood in the flavor. Raw and alcoholic.
